Meet the Doctor

Dr. Kasimatis is a leading area Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in the disciplines of Outpatient Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine for over 10 years. Dr. Kasimatis graduated with his Bachelor of Science from Roger Williams University in RI and received his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Chapman University in Orange, CA. His area of emphasis included Orthopaedics with two long-term affiliations conducted in Outpatient Orthopaedics. He also completed one long-term affiliation at Enloe Medical Center, with focus at the Spasticity program and in-service provided to staff therapists and physicians regarding intrathecal antispasticity medication and its implications for rehabilitation.

Dr. Kasimatis presented and is listed with a Board Certified Surgical MD for research they conducted on examination of cadaveric shoulder structural anomalies in 2009. Dr. Kasimatis is a manual based clinician with focus on quality one on one, non-rushed provider patient interaction. His areas of emphasis include but are not limited to general Orthopaedic, Neuromuscular/Spinal Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine, Injury Prevention, Strength Training, Spinal Mobilization, Balance and Geriatrics. He has taken advanced education and received certification in sports related knee injuries, shoulder rehabilitation and Kinesio Taping. He serves as an ongoing clinical instructor for area University students, has conducted screenings for area high school football team pre-season, worked closely with Sports Performance facility including screenings and treatment of NFL Combine athletes, professional as well as Olympic athletes and has conducted lectures to community groups on health and wellness.

Dr. Kasimatis has been involved in athletics the majority of his life, was a three-sport athlete in HS including Wrestling, Soccer and Golf. He continues to enjoy an active lifestyle participating in golf, hiking, mixed martial arts and strength training. He appreciates living in the Orange County area enjoying the outdoors, beach and is a local naturalist with the American Cetacean Society Orange County Chapter.
